Cotton Tree Implant Dentistry and Perio Care have an exciting position available for a Dental Assistant who is ready to step their career up to the next level as our Specialist Periodontal Dental Assistant. This position will require you to possess an extra level of responsibility, precision and professionalism along with being able to remain calm whilst working in a high paced team environment.
A qualification in Dental Assisting plus a minimum of one year experience as a Dental Assistant is essential for this position. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) along with being comfortable with using dental terminology is highly desirable. Experience working for a Periodontist or Dental Specialist is not necessary as on the job training will be provided.
You will possess excellent patient care skills, customer service qualities and be very well presented.
Time management and strong communication qualities will be essential for this role and you will be committed to helping the business grow.

The practice is in a great spot – it’s on the Esplanade and directly across from the beach. Those that know the Sunshine Coast will know Maroochydore – Cotton Tree is a small suburb of this area. Being on the Esplanade the practice has great proximity to local shops, café’s, restaurants, or you can spend some time at the beach when you’re not seeing patients!
The Opportunity
Your role will include:
- Chair side assisting our Specialist Periodontal team;
- Dental Assistant duties;
- Running our daily huddle;
- Sterilization of instruments;
- Play a pro-active role in each day's appointment schedule and patient activities to ensure things run as seamless as possible;
- Greeting and billing patients when required;
- Other administration support tasks as required.
