About you

You’ll have well-rounded Hygienist skills, excellent communication capabilities [both verbal & non-verbal] and the ability to deliver successful patient outcomes. You’ll be grounded and able to take constructive feedback from experienced clinicians who are happy to share their extensive experience with you. We want to help you continue to grow and succeed in your career with us!!

Above all, though, your attitude to patient care will be second to none. You’re a real natural with people, you make everyone feel at ease in the chair, explaining things in a way that makes people comfortable, and you’re the kind of person that patients recommend and rave about!

 The practice is in a great spot – it’s in the heart of Cairns City Centre close to all of the prime retailers, restaurants and cafes and is just a short walk to the Esplanade.


The Opportunity

This is a part-time role and will be 2 days per week – Wednesday & Friday, between the hours of 8am – 5pm

You’ll be covering the full range of treatment plans for your patients and you’ll do this with the support and partnership of a seasoned Practice Manager and Lead Dentist – they will help you to make this role a real success.

The practice manager & Lead Dentist lead from the front and mentor and inspire their staff to consistently do better.

Maven Dental Cairns City practice has state-of-the-art facilities, including a dedicated general anaesthetic facility and recovery suite. The in-house surgery and preventative treatment theatre supports the ease and comfort of receiving comprehensive dental care and treatment in one convenient location. 


What we’re looking for in our NEW Hygienist:

  • Your Hygienist skills are polished, and at a high industry standard;
  • You have a current [or expected] AHPRA registration with no restrictions;
  • You understand that Oral Healthcare effects more than just the mouth;
  • You’re an articulate communicator, and is someone who has the innate ability to build rapport and trust quickly with patients; And
  • You are committed to providing outstanding patient-led service.
