Dr Kara Everingham
Dr Kara Everingham is a passionate and caring dentist who enjoys researching new and innovative ways to improve her patient’s experience. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry but she has a keen interest in restorative dentistry and extractions.
After completing her Bachelor of Science (majoring in Biomedical Science) at the University of Queensland in 2009, Kara spent some time travelling and working in different health fields before undertaking and completing her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Sydney. During her time at USyd, she had a short stint at Ballina Community Dental Clinic before graduation where she was awarded the Richard Belitho Bush Memorial Prize for her outstanding performance in all theory components of her degree. Kara then spent several years working in private practice in Sydney’s North Shore and on the Central Coast before moving to the Northern Rivers in early 2018 and joining the team at Alstonville Family Dental.
Dr Everingham is a member of the ADA and regularly attends the North Coast Division Meetings. Kara is constantly seeking opportunities to improve her knowledge and skills to provide high quality care for her patients. She actively participates in courses and conferences across the country and plans in the immediate future to undertake courses in aesthetic anterior composites and complex root canal treatment.
Away from Alstonville Family Dental, Kara loves spending her time outdoors paddle boarding or doing pilates. She also enjoys visiting her Grandpa on his custard apple and cattle farm in Tullera on her days off. Kara is also a keen chef who enjoys challenging herself with new recipes and foods.
