Dr Justin Pakin moved to the Northern Rivers in 2010, where he has been practising dentistry ever since. Dr Justin graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) before going on to complete his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2002 at Adelaide University. Prior to moving to the Northern Rivers, he worked for 8 years in general practice in Melbourne, gaining extensive knowledge and skills.

When treating patients, Dr Justin embodies a holistic approach and focuses on developing strong connections with his patients to better understand their dental needs and concerns. He also has a great interest in working with anxious patients, going above and beyond to provide a positive experience to help them feel comfortable during their dental visits. From a clinical perspective, Dr Justin has a special interest in cosmetic improvements including veneers and bonding.

Recently relocating from the UK to enjoy Australia's sun-kissed shores, Dr Beth Peters brings with her a wealth of experience and a gentle touch to the Alstonville Family Dental clinic. Graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Newcastle University in 2017, Dr Beth further augmented her credentials by earning recognition from the esteemed Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, in 2022.

Having honed her skills at Sandon Dental Practice in Chester, UK, for nearly five years, Dr Beth developed a particular affinity for restorative dentistry. Passionate about preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of her patients' smiles, her approach intertwines clinical excellence with a comforting chairside manner. This gentle touch proves invaluable, especially when treating young patients and those with dental anxieties. She finds immense satisfaction in helping nervous individuals transform their apprehension into confidence during dental visits.

At the core of her professional ethos, Dr Beth values building genuine relationships with her patients, ensuring their dental journey is as seamless as possible. She's proud to be part of a seasoned team, encompassing talented dentists, hygienists, nurses, and reception staff, all dedicated to delivering top-tier care.

When the dental coat comes off, Dr Beth is an avid fitness enthusiast, often challenging herself at the local CrossFit gym. Embracing the Australian way of life, she's currently diving into the art of surfing. Balancing her professional dedication with personal passions, Dr Beth exemplifies a holistic approach to wellness, both inside and out.

A true local of the Northern Rivers, Erin Clarke brings over two decades of dedicated experience in dental hygiene to Alstonville Family Dental. Earning her Bachelor of Oral Health from the University of Newcastle in 2008, Erin embarked on a professional journey that saw her refine her expertise across dental clinics before finding her perfect fit at Alstonville Family Dental.

At the heart of Erin's clinical pursuits is a profound commitment to preventative dental care. She firmly believes in the intertwining nature of oral health with general well-being, emphasising the significance of regular care and check-ups. When it comes to patient interactions, Erin prides herself on her ability to create a relaxing atmosphere. Her innate aptitude to ease dental anxieties is reflected with patients frequently praising her gentle and caring approach. This patient-centric philosophy, combined with her clinical acumen, allows Erin to work seamlessly with a team of distinguished professionals, ensuring patients receive comprehensive oral care.

Beyond the confines of the clinic, Erin fully embraces life's joys. A proud mother of two, she finds happiness in family camping trips, the thrill of netball games, and the occasional adventurous chase after her runaway cows.

MJ Pelarion has recently joined our clinic at Alstonville Family Dental and expands our Oral Health and Hygiene team. MJ completed her Bachelor of Health Science majoring in Oral Health Therapy in New Zealand prior to relocating to our beautiful area. While studying, MJ gained valuable hands-on experience as a dental receptionist and assistant, and during her university placements in Tauranga, New Zealand, she developed a deep commitment to oral health, especially in high-risk communities.

MJ takes pride in her identity as a Filipina-Kiwi. Her journey began in the small town of Linamon, Lanao Del Norte, Philippines where her family migrated to New Zealand in pursuit of a brighter future. She is fluent in both Cebuano and English, and she has limited proficiency in the Tagalog dialect.

MJ's clinical interests lie in periodontology, where she focuses on a holistic approach to patient management and treatments. She is passionate about empowering her patients with knowledge and tools to improve and maintain their oral health.

When not at the clinic, MJ enjoys going on mountain hikes, appreciating the tranquillity of the scenic views. Some weekends may find her exploring the different yet equally appealing landscapes at her local shopping centres. In the morning, don’t be surprised to catch MJ enjoying a good cup of coffee at her local café.
