Dr Hugh Lenehan joined the Capital Periodontics and Dental Implants practice as a Periodontist. Having already completed a Bachelor of Medical Science, Dr Lenehan returned to university in 2009 to complete his Bachelor of Dentistry (Honours). In the earlier years of his career he worked as a Dental Officer at the Westmead Centre for Oral Health and in private practice in Mount Gambier, South Australia.
During the course of his career Dr Lenehan also completed his primary and secondary examinations to become a Fellow at the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. Following his passion for periodontology he completed his specialist training in 2016, receiving his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry. He was also awarded the Dentsply award for his research into bone augmentation.
Away from the practice Dr Lenehan enjoys spending quality time with his friends and family. Additionally, he has keen interests in playing guitar and participating in a wide range of sports including tennis and cycling.
