Dental Assistant, Deborah de Jong, was welcomed to the Lighthouse Beach Dental team in May 2018. Deborah graduated from Westmead School of Dental Therapy in Sydney and has since gained valuable experience working as a dental therapist across public and private practices including Armidale Dental Clinic, Aboriginal Medical Centre (Biripi), Lithgow Dental Clinic, various Northern Rivers community health centres and Good Shephard Medical and Dental Centre.
Deborah is passionate about working alongside a talented team to help improve the oral health of the local community. She loves meeting and developing strong relationships with her patients, striving to provide them with the best possible care. From a clinical perspective, Deborah holds an interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry and working with patients of all ages and medical histories.
Committed to her professional development, Deborah has undertaken further studies and obtained additional qualifications of Oral Health Clinical Skills - Adult Clinical Practice (Newcastle University) and Dental Therapy - Adult Scope (Sydney University). She has additionally attended the Paediatric Dental Conference in Brisbane in 2017 and has plans to attend it again this year.

In her spare time, Deborah is often found playing tennis, horse riding, reading or heading to the cinemas. She also enjoys volunteering at St Clare's Highschool canteen and assisting with riding for the disabled.
