Meet Your Dentists

Dr Jeff Brown is one of the lead dentist's at Maven Dental Greenwood. He believes dental health and aesthetics are pivotal to general health, confidence and self-esteem and strives to provide the highest quality Dental Care in an environment of honesty, integrity, competence and efficiency.

Dr Brown has completed a 1-year program in Implant Dentistry at the Brener Implant Institute and a 2-year orthodontic program where he obtained his Orthodontic Diploma with honours. He committed to staying up to date with the latest dental technique and technology and regularly takes part in continuing education. Not only in dentistry, but all aspects of life.

Dr Jack Obaid is one of the lead dentists at Maven Dental Greenwood and brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. He holds special interests in the areas of sleep dentistry, dental implants, complex and rehabilitation treatments, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign and restoring/treating patients with Bruxism.

Dr Obaid holds patient care in the highest regard and continues to ensure he is up to date with the latest in dental technology and techniques. He regularly attends further education opportunities to support his continual professional development. Dr Obaid also believes it's important to include and educate his patients in their treatments.

Why Invisalign®?

Invisalign® treatment uses a series of clear plastic removable orthodontic aligners to gently move your teeth in small increments. For the best results, Invisalign® clear aligners are to be worn 20 to 22 hours a day. Each Invisalign® aligner is slightly different. You’ll wear a set of aligners for one to two weeks or as prescribed by your dentist before moving onto the next set.

Why Dental Veneers?

Veneers (also known as laminates), are a thin, tooth-coloured shell made from porcelain or composite resin that is shaped to bond to the front of your natural teeth. They are often used instead of a crown where there is sufficient healthy natural tooth structure available. Veneers are an excellent way to correct the aesthetics by covering chipped or discoloured teeth or even eliminating gaps.

Why Dental Implants?

Dental implants replace the root of the tooth, then a crown is placed on top to create a full smile. Implants are an alternative to a bridge or dentures and can be used to replace one or more missing teeth and they can even be used to hold dentures in place.

Dental Implant treatment is carried out in 2 steps:

Step 1 - The implant placement. The titanium or alloy implant is surgically placed and left to fuse with the jawbone

Step 2 - The implant restoration. The artificial tooth, crown or denture is fitted on top of the implant.
