Specialist Anaesthetist, Dr Marc Logarta, offers extensive experience in providing anaesthesia and acute pain management services for a range of surgical specialities, including dental surgery. Dr Logarta feels privileged to be entrusted with someone’s care during surgery and truly enjoys being part of the surgical team to ensure patients have a safe and comfortable experience.
Since initially completing his Doctorate in Medicine in 1999 at the University of Southern California, Dr Logarta has continued his professional development, completing his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of California Los Angeles in 2007 and his Anaesthetic Training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in 2010. He is additionally a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Dr Logarta’s impressive work experience spans across both public and private sectors. Alongside his role at Maven Dental Inner West Sydney, he is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Sydney and a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of New South Wales where he actively teaches medical students. He is also involved in multiple areas of research in anaesthesia and has published several book chapters and journal articles.
Over the years, Dr Logarta has held appointments at Westmead Private Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Strathfield Private Hospital, St George Private Hospital, University of California, Hunters Hill Private Hospital and Sydney Private Hospital. Additionally, he has worked in the roles of Deputy Director of the Department of Anaesthetics at Campbelltown, Anaesthetic Advisor to the Clinical Stream for the South Western Sydney Local Health District.
Outside of work, Dr Logarta is often found spending quality time with his family, travelling, learning new things and trying to keep fit with his dog Max.
