Toothworkx welcomed Brigette Bygrave to the Maryborough practice as a dental hygienist in 2012. Brigette began her dental career back in 2002 as a dental assistant. After three years working in a local dentist she discovered her passion for oral hygiene education and preventative care and went on to complete her Bachelor of Oral Health through the University of Newcastle in 2009. Prior to joining Toothworkx she spent three years gaining experience in both general and specialist practices.
Brigette is passionate about her role as a dental hygienist and takes great pride in her work. Her clinical interests lie in the treatment of periodontal disease and understanding the effects our nose/breathing/gut health have on the development and health of our mouths and jaws as a whole. In addition to educating her patients of the importance of maintaining excellent oral health, Brigette is often found at local primary schools providing informative talks on preventative care and healthy dental habits. She additionally attends continued development courses to remain up to date with the latest in dental hygiene.
Away from the practice Brigette loves spending quality time with her friends and family, particularly her 6 month old baby. She also enjoys keeping herself active when she has the time.
