Dr Victor Lalieu is an associate dentist at the Exact Orthodontics practice based in Indooroopilly, Queensland. Originally from South Africa, Dr Lalieu graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in 1981 with a dental degree - receiving the Dental Association of South Africa's Bronze Medal. He then spent the next few years working as a general dentist before completing his post-graduate Masters of Dentistry (Orthodontics) in 1986. During his Masters degree he was awarded the Henry Bradlow Scholarship twice for his academic excellence and also won the Colgate Palmolive Prize of the International Associate of Dental Research for his research paper on Functional Orthodontic Appliances.
Since arriving in Australia in 1987, Dr Lalieu continues to seek out new opportunities to further his education within the field of dentistry. With a keen interest in Invisible, Lingual and Damon braces, he attends national and international conferences to keep up with the latest developments in orthodontics. Keeping across these new techniques and technologies ensures Dr Lalieu delivers the highest standard in treatment and care. His career has also seen him fill the role of visiting specialist/orthodontist for the Royal Australian Air Force in Amberley for over 18 years.
Outside of the practice Dr Lalieu enjoys spending time with his wife and four children and getting out to play a round of golf and tennis. He is also an avid supporter of the Queensland Reds and Australian Wallabies in rugby union.
