Meet The Team

Dr Ashley White is a caring and experienced dentist who operates his practice from Dentalcare Mt Barker. After completing his dental qualifications, Dr White gained many years of experience working in rural dental clinics before settling down in the Adelaide Hills region.

Dr White is passionate about developing long-term relationships with his patients and assisting them in achieving excellent oral health to last a lifetime. With each and every patient he takes the time to understand their dental history and individual needs/concerns. Although experienced in all aspects of dentistry, Dr White holds clinical interests in endodontics (root canal treatment) and minor oral surgery.

Outside of dentistry, Dr White likes swimming, adventurous travelling, scuba diving and is also a big fan of sports including soccer, cricket and AFL.

Dr Andrew Scott brings a wealth of experience to his patients. He graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Sydney University, and since then has worked across private and public practice in Queensland, before moving to South Australia.

Dr Andrew is well known for his relaxed and friendly approach and efficient delivery of service, which helps him to put even the most nervous patient at ease! He is an adept ‘all-rounder’ and his extensive experience across all aspects of modern dentistry means he can resolve the most complex dental issues with a minimum of fuss.

Dr Andrew co-owned and operated his own accredited practice in Brisbane for many years before making a tree-change to the beautiful Adelaide Hills in 2020. His work in the public sector—for Queensland Health—saw him practice in the Moreton Bay region and rural and remote parts of Queensland. He has also been a FIFO dentist servicing the mining sector of Central Queensland.

Outside of work Dr Andrew is a proud and experienced Weekend Warrior and likes nothing better than getting his hands dirty in the garden. He is a known ‘repeat offender’ renovator and thoroughly enjoys demolishing things and then rebuilding them—much to his wife’s amusement.

Originally from India, Dr Sim earned her Bachelor of Dental Science from Magadh University in 2004. She spent approximately four years in private practice before moving to Australia and successfully passing the Australian Dental Council exams in 2016. Since then, she has applied her extensive experience and skills to public health, before moving her practice to Dentalcare Mt Barker.

Passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, Dr Sim is adept at treating anxious and nervous patients. Her empathetic nature, coupled with her attentive listening skills, allows her to understand patients' concerns and create a soothing environment for treatment. In addition to her professional qualifications, Dr Sim's fluency in English, Punjabi, and Hindi, makes her a valuable asset in our diverse community.

Dr Sim is proficient in all aspects of general dentistry, but she has a particular interest in restorative work and preventative care. Her dedication to improving oral health and her commitment to personalised treatment plans reflects in the smiles of her patients.

Away from her professional responsibilities, Dr Sim enjoys the tranquillity of the outdoors and cherishes the time spent with her family. Her love for walks and a close-knit family life brings a well-rounded balance to her role as a trusted dentist at Dentalcare Mount Barker.

Dr Sarangi Brahmbhatt, originally from India, brings a unique blend of cultural and professional experience to Dentalcare Mount Barker. She completed her Bachelor of Dental Science in 2015 and further enhanced her expertise with a Masters in Occupational Health & Safety in 2017. Dr Sarangi also passed the Australian Dental Council exams in 2023, marking a significant milestone in her career.

With her initial practice experience in India, followed by her post-graduate pursuits in Sydney, Dr Sarangi has developed a comprehensive approach to dental care. She is particularly passionate about restorative and preventative dentistry, as well as periodontics. She also has a special knack for ensuring pediatric patients and those with dental anxiety are comfortable during their visit.

Dr Sarangi's philosophy centres around the impact of a healthy smile on overall well-being. She takes pride in her ability to communicate fluently in English, Hindi, and Gujarati, which enhances her ability to connect with a diverse patient community.

Beyond her professional life, Dr Sarangi is a dedicated mother to a 2-year-old daughter and enjoys an active lifestyle. Her interests include swimming, playing sports, cooking, and taking walks, all of which contribute to her balanced and empathetic approach to patient care.

Dr Israel Needham brings a unique combination of expertise and compassion through our clinic doors. After graduating with distinction in Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2019 from James Cook University, Dr Israel has since developed a broad and impressive skill set through diverse professional experiences.

Dr Israel's career has taken her from working in remote areas of Queensland to high-end aesthetic dental practices in Brisbane. This journey has not only broadened her dental skills but also deepened her understanding of patient needs across various communities. She has also pursued further education in orthodontics, oral surgery, and aesthetic dentistry, showcasing her commitment to continuous professional development.

In her clinical practice, Dr Israel is particularly interested in oral surgery, with a focus on impacted wisdom teeth, a skill honed through her experiences in remote areas. Additionally, her passion for orthodontics is evident in her approach to early intervention in malocclusions, helping to improve not just the smiles of children but also their confidence and overall oral health for life.

What Dr Israel finds most fulfilling about her role is the opportunity to educate patients about oral health and its broader impact on general well-being. She is dedicated to helping patients overcome dental fear, providing gentle and caring treatment that puts them at ease.

Growing up in a small country town and later moving to Toowoomba for secondary education, Dr Israel has always valued community and personal connections. Outside the clinic, she enjoys an active lifestyle that includes hiking, camping, and travelling with her husband. When it's time to relax indoors, you'll find Dr Israel engaged in sewing.
