Dr Mena Gerges is known not just for his technical dental skills, but also for his warm and personable approach. He is committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive dental care to his patients, ensuring that each visit is a positive experience. With a calm, reassuring manner, Dr Mena is able to caringly support those with dental anxiet

Born in Egypt and moving to Australia at the age of six, Dr Mena grew up in Adelaide. His early interest in healthcare led him to pursue a career in dentistry immediately after graduating from high school in 2018.

Dr Mena completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide between 2019-2023. During his studies, Dr Mena gained valuable experience during his placements in Victor Harbor, Canberra, and a volunteer placement with the Community Outreach Dental program, assisting homeless individuals.

Dr Mena has developed a broad interest across general dental, with a particular fondness for extractions and crown/bridge work. He is also passionate about cosmetic dentistry, finding great satisfaction in helping patients gain confidence in their smiles.

Dr Mena is committed to building long-term relationships with his patients, focusing on helping them maintain healthy dentition, boosting their confidence in their appearance, and aiding them in overcoming any dental anxiety.

Outside the clinic, Dr Mena enjoys an active and engaging lifestyle. He is an avid sports enthusiast, often found playing basketball and soccer. For those quiet, chill days, he loves to take a seat and indulge in reading novels. Always up for a bit of a challenge, Dr Mena is also currently learning a musical instrument.

Dr Andrew Scott brings a wealth of experience to his patients. He graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Sydney University, and since then has worked across private and public practice in Queensland, before moving to South Australia.

Dr Andrew is well known for his relaxed and friendly approach and efficient delivery of service, which helps him to put even the most nervous patient at ease! He is an adept ‘all-rounder’ and his extensive experience across all aspects of modern dentistry means he can resolve the most complex dental issues with a minimum of fuss.

Dr Andrew co-owned and operated his own accredited practice in Brisbane for many years before making a tree-change to the beautiful Adelaide Hills in 2020. His work in the public sector—for Queensland Health—saw him practice in the Moreton Bay region and rural and remote parts of Queensland. He has also been a FIFO dentist servicing the mining sector of Central Queensland.

Outside of work Dr Andrew is a proud and experienced Weekend Warrior and likes nothing better than getting his hands dirty in the garden. He is a known ‘repeat offender’ renovator and thoroughly enjoys demolishing things and then rebuilding them—much to his wife’s amusement.

Laura Jarmyn graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Adelaide in 2019. Laura started in the dental industry by completing a Certificate 3 in Dental Assisting in 2014. She is a member of both the Australian Dental and Oral Health Therapists Association and the Dental Hygienists Association Australia. 

Laura is passionate about children’s oral health and providing education to them on healthy dental habits to prevent future dental problems. Laura believes in inspiring and helping patients aspire to have a healthy mouth including the treatment of periodontal disease. She loves to get to know her patients and provide treatment and oral health education to suit their needs. 

Outside of dentistry, Laura plays netball and enjoys waterskiing on the river. She also loves to spend time with family and friends. 

Erin began at our practice in January, 2025. She enjoys delivering comprehensive dental care across the full scope of her practice. Erin has a particular interest in treating children and is passionate about creating a positive, comfortable, and confidence-building experience for every young patient. Erin loves that dental is forever evolving and there is no right or wrong solution to a problem (within reason of course).
Erin is down to earth, friendly and loves to spend time with her friends and family outside of work, spending time at her family’s beach house in Moonta Bay. Erin enjoys playing netball and staying active through walking her dog and pilates.
Outside of work Erin enjoys socialising, being a tourist in the Barossa Valley, playing netball and relaxing with her family.

Jie started her dental career in the UK, earning a Certificate in Dental Nursing from the University of Portsmouth Dental Academy in 2015, before completing a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Oral Health Science at the University of Essex in 2022. Most recently, she achieved her Master of Health Service Management from the University of South Australia in 2025, reflecting her commitment to both clinical excellence and patient care.

With a strong background in preventive, restorative, and periodontal treatments, Jie has worked across public and private practices in both the UK and Australia. Her years of dental nursing experience give her a well-rounded approach to oral health therapy. She has a special interest in paediatric dentistry and is passionate about supporting children and patients with dental anxiety, making their visits as comfortable as possible. What motivates Jie most is helping people improve their oral health and seeing the positive impact it has on their lives. She thrives on variety, embraces new challenges, and loves learning new skills, always aiming to make a real difference for her patients every day.

Fluent in English and Mandarin, Jie moved to Australia in 2024 and is enjoying settling into her new community. Outside the clinic, she loves spending time with her young son and staying active outdoors. Whether it’s playing tennis or pickleball, going fishing, or cycling, Jie values a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

Jessica Bottrall, a skilled dental hygienist at Maven Dental Clare, brings a rich background in oral health, complemented by her leadership experience in healthcare management. With an Advanced Diploma of Oral Health from TAFE SA and a Certificate III in Dental Assisting, Jessica has cultivated an extensive understanding of patient care. Her career has spanned roles from a Dental Team Coordinator for an aged care mobile dental program and schools program, to a Practice Manager at a psychology clinic, and a Dental Assistant in a prosthodontics clinic.

Born and raised in regional South Australia, Jessica has always been passionate about oral health. She is a devoted mother of two boys and actively pursues opportunities for professional development, continually advocating for enhanced oral health education in the community.

Jessica's clinical interests lie primarily in periodontal therapy and maintenance, where she excels in educating and supporting patients in achieving optimal oral health. She finds immense satisfaction in meeting new people daily, earning their trust, and helping them build confidence in their dental care.

Outside of her professional environment, Jessica enjoys the simple pleasures of cooking, reading, and walking. She values quality time spent with her family in the scenic Barossa Valley, embracing the tranquillity it offers away from her busy practice life.
