Dr Boardman grew up in the small seaside town of Lytham St Annes in North West England. After completing her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Manchester in 2000 Dr Boardman spent three years working in general dental practices and oral surgery departments in some of the UK’s busiest hospitals. In 2006 Dr Boardman completed her postgraduate training in Orthodontics at the University of Leeds. After practicing as a specialist orthodontist in the UK, Dr Boardman made the move to Australia to start a new chapter in her career initially working in Sydney before moving to the Gold Coast in 2013.
Dr Boardman goes above and beyond for her patients and still gets excited about every day, every patient and every smile she can help. Charlotte's bubbly personality is infectious and she loves to build relationships with her patients. She enjoys hearing about her patients’ lives as they progress through their orthodontic treatment and sharing their adventures and achievements.
Dr Boardman has experience treating patients of all ages but is passionate about early orthodontic intervention (children’s orthodontics). With a background in paediatric oral surgery, she enjoys treating children by creating a relaxed, caring environment. Dr Boardman is dedicated to providing the highest quality orthodontics possible and has a keen interest in the latest orthodontic technology and techniques to ensure the best possible outcomes for her patients. She is particularly interested in discreet orthodontic technology including Invisalign and clear braces.
Charlotte is registered with AHPRA as a Specialist Orthodontist and dentist. She is a member of the Australian Dental Association, Australian Society of Orthodontics and the British Orthodontic Society. Orthodontics is continually evolving and throughout the year she attends seminars, conferences and lectures to stay at the forefront of orthodontic technology. She believes her patients deserve the best, and that continuing education allows her to provide her patients with more options and better results.
Away from her practice, Charlotte is very family orientated. She is a mother to two young girls and loves spending time with them in the beautiful local area. Dr Boardman loves travelling and is always planning her next adventure with her young family. You can also find Dr Boardman jogging and hiking, or reading a good book in her spare time.

Kelly Tandler
Kelly Tander has practised as a dental hygienist at Coastal Orthodontics since 2008. Kelly obtained her dental hygienist qualifications in 1991 through Adelaide University and has since gone on to gain over 20 years' of extensive experience in general and specialist dentistry. Rose McLaughlin
Rose McLaughlin is your Oral Health Therapist at Coastal Orthodontics, holding a Bachelor of Oral Health from CQUniversity Rockhampton, which she completed in 2017. Rose began her career as a Dental Assistant in 2013 and has extensive experience in central Queensland before relocating to Burleigh in 2021.
Rose is passionate about orthodontics and prefers its fast-paced environment over general dentistry. She finds great satisfaction in seeing patients through their orthodontic journeys and witnessing their dreams come true.
Outside of work, Rose enjoys working on her tan at the beach, cooking with her husband Steve, and indulging in food and drink. She loves to travel and is the proud owner of a cat named Migaloo. Her spirit animal is a raccoon, and her star sign is Cancer.
Jayde Brown
Before becoming one of our practice managers Jayde was a patient at Coastal Orthodontics as a teenager. Jayde joined the team in 2007 prior to finishing school. She loves meeting new people and watching patients' smile transformations boost their confidence. She also loves spending time with her husband and three children at the beach.
Amy Armstrong
Amy Armstrong has been a vital part of the Coastal Orthodontics team for over 12 years, holding a Certificate IV in Dental Assisting. As Practice Coordinator, she ensures the clinic operates smoothly and loves seeing patients' smile transformations.
Amy enjoys spending time with her work family and values the positive environment at Coastal Orthodontics. Outside of work, she is a devoted wife and mother of two, enjoys taking family walks with their Labrador, Chloe, and catching up with friends. Working alongside her sister Jayde, Amy's dedication to family and her role at the clinic shines through in everything she does.
Kylie Speers
Kylie is a bubbly Californian that loves to bake! Before joining Coastal Ortho she worked as a hygiene assistant in San Clemente where she loved comforting patients and making sure they got the care they needed! In her free time Kylie is usually praying for rain so she can snuggle up on the lounge and watch movies all day.

Hannah, our skilled Dental Assistant, brings expertise and passion to Coastal Orthodontics. Alongside her NEBDN Diploma in Dental Nursing, she brings years of experience from the UK. Charli Singleton
Charli is the friendly new dental assistant at Coastal Orthodontics. Charli has completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting at Kingscliff Tafe and has spent time working alongside a general dentist before joining our team. She loves getting to know each of her patients! Outside of the practice Charli loves hanging out with friends and family and taking her pup 'Ziggy' to the beach.
Mia Singleton
Mia holds a Cert III in Business Administration. As our receptionist, she is passionate about creating relationships with patients, making them feel comfortable, and ensuring each visit is an enjoyable one. She loves going out for meals with family and friends, travelling, and camping with her partner.
Laura Eggen
Laura joins the team at Coastal Orthodontics with loads of experience in the dental industry both in Australia and in her home country of Canada. She loves seeing the smile transformations and the joy they bring to patients. Laura has called Australia home for 7 years and moved to the Gold Coast from Sydney in 2018. She loves soaking in the sun at the beach with her dog Molly, going on weekend road trips and keeping centred by doing Yoga!

Tian is a qualified dental nurse with a National Diploma in Dental Nursing. She began her career in 2021 at an NHS practice, before transitioning to a private practice in 2023 to expand her knowledge and gain further experience in the field.
Having moved to Australia in September, Tian is embracing the local lifestyle, enjoying beach days, adventures with her partner, and spending time with her beloved animals. Her clinical interests are focused on cosmetic dentistry, where she finds great joy in witnessing the transformative results and the happiness it brings to patients.

Kyah joins our team bringing 7 years experience working in general dental practice.
Born on the Gold Coast, Kyah grew up with three brothers.
Kyah enjoys the constant evolution of dentistry and opportunity to continue to learn. Working with patients to enhance function and improve self-esteem brings Kyah joy in her role as a dental assistant.
Outside of work, Kyah enjoys walks on the beach, catching up on true crime documentaries and travelling.
Eshaka
Born and raised in Melbourne, Eshaka brings to our team the experience of working in both general dental practices, and alongside a Periodontist and Maxillofacial specialist. Holding a Certificate 3 in Dental Assisting and First Aid & CPR Certifications, her journey in dentistry started in in 2021. Eshaka enjoys working with the team at Coastal Orthodontics where she says every day is different, but the team and patients are always happy. Outside of work you will find Eshaka baking, reading and spending time with her dogs when she can.
