Dr Chris Yip
Dr Yip grew up in the north-western suburbs of Sydney before moving to Brisbane to complete his Bachelor of Dental Science at the University of Queensland, graduating from with First Class Honours. His studies saw him being awarded numerous prizes including the Australian Society of Endodontology Prize and the Australian Dental Association Prize. He started to practice at the Dr J. A. Chau Dental Surgeons clinic in 2017.
Away from his practice, Dr Yip is an avid San Antonio Spurs supporter and enjoys exploring the beautiful landscapes and offerings of Tasmania on his weekends.
Dr Huei Chen
Dr Huei Chen brings valuable experience and knowledge to her patients. Upon graduating from the University of Melbourne, Huei worked in Bendigo for a year where she enjoyed the country lifestyle before returning to Melbourne.

Dr Andrew Ta
Dr Andrew Ta is a friendly and dedicated associate dentist at our Hobart clinic. He graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with First Class Honours from the University of Adelaide, reflecting his strong academic performance and commitment to excellence in dentistry.
Originally from Sydney, Dr Ta relocated to Adelaide to complete his studies, where he gained valuable clinical experience across a range of dental settings. He has since continued to build on this foundation through work in both Adelaide and Hobart, developing a well rounded and adaptable approach to patient care.
Drawn to Tasmania for its natural beauty, close knit community, and relaxed pace of life, Dr Ta now enjoys practicing in Hobart, where he is committed to providing high quality, patient focused dental care.
Toni McGovern
Toni McGovern graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health Sciences from the University of Essex in 2018, having previously qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2008. After six years at a specialist periodontal clinic in London, Toni moved to Australia in 2023, initially working in a periodontal specialist clinic before settling in Tasmania in May 2024.
Born in Devon, United Kingdom, Toni has always loved the countryside. Known for her positive energy and sense of humor, she enjoys making patients feel at ease, often lightening the mood with a good dad joke.

Outside of work, Toni enjoys walking her Bengal cat, Peanut, in scenic locations, camping, and indulging her love for all things Jane Austen. She is also an avid wildlife photographer and enjoys the art of calligraphy.
