Meet The Team

Dr Martin Pynor brings over 35 years of experience and a wealth of knowledge to his patients.

Dr Pynor obtained a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide in 1981 and spent his early career working in public practice with a heavy focus on Children’s dentistry. He then opened his very own private, general dental practice in Clare in 1987 where he serviced the community with the highest level of dental care and oral health education.

As a dentist, Dr Pynor takes a friendly and caring approach to his work. He always takes his patients’ individual needs and circumstances into consideration when offering treatment options to assist in improving dental health and general wellbeing.

Dr Pynor is highly experienced in all aspects of general dentistry and has a wide range of clinical interests including, dental implants, dental crowns, veneers and root canals. He believes that as a country dentist, it is imperative to hold skills across as many oral treatments as possible.

Above all, Dr Pynor enjoys providing patients with a stress-free dental experience.

Outside of his practice, you’ll find Dr Pynor spending quality time with family and friends, travelling and having the odd hit at golf.

Dr Parshad Sankey grew up in Adelaide and originally studied Radiography before moving interstate to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Sydney in 2021. 

Throughout his study, Dr Parshad gained thorough experience working within private practice and undertook majority of his training at the Sydney Dental hospital and the Westmead Centre for Oral Health.

Within the practice, Dr Parshad is passionate about all aspects of dentistry with a particular interest in oral surgery, root canals and crowns. He thoroughly enjoys that he is often able to make an immediate impact on patients life’s by taking them out of pain so that they can focus on what makes them happy!

As a dentist, Dr Parshad is committed to ensuring that each of his patients has a positive experience while in his care as he understands that a trip to the dentist can be daunting.

When he’s away from the practice, Dr Parshad enjoys trying out new recipes in the kitchen, playing guitar and being a terrible golfer!

Dr Jasraj Chana grew up in London, acquired a Bachelor of Dentistry from King's College London and qualified as a dentist in 2017.

After graduation, Dr Jasraj worked in the UK for four years. He and his wife love traveling though, and thought the next best step in their lives should be moving to Australia and exploring the whole region. He is now an Associate Dentist practicing from Maven Dental Clare.

Dr Jasraj’s primary clinical interests lie in cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry, which led him to undertake a one-year post-graduate course in Cosmetic Dentistry. He mainly enjoys this work because it allows his patients to become more confident with their smiles. He also enjoys the fine, intricate work that comes with crowns and inlays.

Above all else, Dr Jasraj likes getting to know and chatting with the different patients that walk into the clinic. He enjoys understanding what they want to achieve with their smile and helping them get this desired result. He also loves working in a team with the nurses, receptionists and hygienists.

Outside of work, Dr Jasraj loves sports, apart from watching Man-United lose! He also enjoys playing football and cricket, plays the electric and acoustic guitar, and is trying to learn surfing (it's going quite badly).

Mikaela began her career as a dental assistant back in 2006. After falling in love with all things teeth and dentistry-related, she chose to further her studies to pursue a Bachelor of Oral Health from Adelaide University. After graduating in 2013, she began her new venture as an Oral Health Therapist. Since then, she has also completed a certificate in Orofacial Myology and has implemented her learnings into her practice. 

Mikaela enjoys a broad range of clinical areas, both hygiene and therapy-related, and is dedicated to educating patients on preventative care and how this can foster positive long-term oral health. Most recently, Mikaela has been driven to hone her focus on airway related issues, predominantly in children.

Originally from the West Coast, the beach is Miakela’s happy place. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys travelling, cooking and spending time with her family, friends and beloved puppy Basil.

Laura Jarmyn graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Adelaide in 2019. Laura started in the dental industry by completing a Certificate 3 in Dental Assisting in 2014. She is a member of both the Australian Dental and Oral Health Therapists Association and the Dental Hygienists Association Australia. 

Laura is passionate about children’s oral health and providing education to them on healthy dental habits to prevent future dental problems. Laura believes in inspiring and helping patients aspire to have a healthy mouth including the treatment of periodontal disease. She loves to get to know her patients and provide treatment and oral health education to suit their needs. 

Outside of dentistry, Laura plays netball and enjoys waterskiing on the river. She also loves to spend time with family and friends.
