Meet The Team

Dr Rabia Latif graduated in 2008 from the University of Lahore and cleared all her Australian Dental Licence exams with flying colours before deciding to operate her practice from Maven Dental Lutwyche in 2018.

Dr Latif has a calm and gentle approach and is passionate about providing the very best dental treatment and care. She strongly believes in the philosophy of providing individualised dental treatment tailored to the needs of her patients.

As a firm believer in continuing education, Dr Latif keeps herself up to date by reading articles, attending lectures and joining seminars. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with a special interest in orthodontics. She holds a distinction in orthodontics and is continuing to pursue her passion by starting specialist training in this area from February 2019. Watch this space!

Away from dentistry, Dr Latif enjoys spending quality time with her husband and lovely son. She enjoys baking and has a special interest in interior decorating.

Dr Rosaline Vuthapanich graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours from the University of Queensland in Brisbane. Prior to her dental career, Dr Rosaline spent a year in Japan and subsequently studied a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Japanese Literature and Cultural Studies before pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming a dentist.

She is a very gentle, caring dentist with a calm disposition which creates a relaxing and calm environment for her patients. Dr Rosaline loves performing all aspects of general dentistry. Her special interests include cosmetic dentistry, endodontics and oral surgery. She also has a special interest in Invisalign treatment, and is passionate about providing beautiful cosmetic results.

Outside of dentistry Dr Rosaline enjoys spending time with friends and family over a home cooked meal. She loves to be artistic and crafty with her hands in pottery, furniture and sewing.

Born in the Philippines, John immigrated to New Zealand and then to Australia to pursue better opportunities in higher education. Initially working towards a career in academia and research, he graduated with academic excellence with a Bachelor of Science with Honours at the University of Queensland in 2011. After that, he pursued a career in dentistry, completing his Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and Graduate Diploma of Dentistry at Griffith University in 2017.

John has worked in both public and private practice in the Northern and inner city suburbs of Brisbane and is excited to practice at Maven Dental New Farm.

Education has always been important to John, as he has continued to pursue knowledge within the dental field, undertaking postgraduate courses in dental implants, sedation (nitrous oxide) and clear aligners (Invisalign Go). He also has a special interest in root canal therapy and enjoys the challenges that emergency dentistry bring.

Aside from the evolutionary dental sphere, Dr John is a self-proclaimed foodie, and you will often see him eating at the local eateries or cooking recipes he has just learnt online. He is also passionate about keeping himself in tip-top shape through regular exercise, if only to burn off the calories from eating out so much! When given the chance, he will be attending pilates, yoga and cycling classes.

Francesca Verrone is a Dental Hygienist currently practicing from Maven Dental Lutwyche. Born and raised on the East Coast of the USA, she earned a Bachelors Degree in Family and Child Studies while being a college athlete. During her time at collage, she was awarded an All-American Women's Lacrosse title. She then completed an Associates in Applied Science - Dental Hygiene (2019).

She started her dental hygiene journey at a small family practice outside of New York City, working there for more than three years before relocating to Brisbane in 2022.

As a professional, Francesca has a particular interest in treating patients with periodontal disease and collaborating to rebuild their oral hygiene, systemic health, and overall confidence. Most of all, she enjoys building rapport with patients, and looks forward to making each dental appointment something they can look forward to.

Francesca is loving life in Australia with her Aussie finance and her new Sunshine State lifestyle. Outside of work, she likes to attend a variety of fitness classes, and loves to travel and explore the world.

Dr Liam Buchhorn earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from James Cook University in 2023. During his studies, he gained invaluable experience working within the Queensland public dental system, where he had the opportunity to learn from experienced dentists and specialists. Now embarking on his career as a private dentist, Dr Liam is committed to delivering high-quality dental care and pursuing continuous personal and professional development.

Born and raised in Brisbane, Dr Liam relocated to Far North Queensland to pursue his dental degree. He prides himself on being an honest and reliable professional, dedicated to building strong relationships with his patients. Dr Liam has a particular interest in preventative dentistry and patient education, believing that reducing dental issues from the outset is key to long-term oral health. In the clinic, he enjoys practising a broad range of general dentistry, crafting smiles that his patients can confidently enjoy.

Dr Liam appreciates the variety that each day in dentistry brings, finding satisfaction in the tailored care and problem-solving required to achieve the best results for his patients. He takes great pleasure in seeing his work positively impact his patients' dental health and overall well-being.

Outside of the clinic, Dr Liam enjoys travelling around Australia and beyond, discovering new dining experiences along the way. A self-proclaimed geek, he also loves spending his downtime watching movies, TV shows, and gaming. Dr Liam is also devoted to spending quality time with his partner, friends, family, and his beloved cat.
