Dr Charmaine White

Dr Charmaine White, was welcomed to the Maven Dental Narooma (formerly Narooma Dental Surgery) team in 2011. Dr White graduated from Griffith University Queensland and holds a Bachelor of Oral Health and Graduate Diploma of Dentistry. After completing her qualifications, she joined the Narooma practice where she has worked for 10 years.

As a friendly and compassionate dentist, Dr White enjoys building strong relationships with her patients and seeing their dental health improve. She holds clinical interests in general dentistry, sleep disorders and when possible enjoys volunteering overseas. Additionally, Dr White is a member of the Australian Dental Association (NSW).

Outside of the practice, Dr White enjoys spending time with her family and getting out on the water sailing.

Dr Ashika Viji

Dr Ashika Viji is a dedicated and compassionate Associate Dentist practicing from Maven Dental Narooma. She has a Bachelors of Dental Surgery from Kerala University of Health Sciences (2019), and worked as a Junior Resident at Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at MOSC Medical College Hospital. She then went on to practice as a General Dentist at Annoor Dental College and Hospital before moving to Australia.

Dr Ashika Viji is a dedicated and compassionate Associate Dentist practicing from Maven Dental Narooma. She has a Bachelors of Dental Surgery from Kerala University of Health Sciences (2019), and worked as a Junior Resident at Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at MOSC Medical College Hospital. She then went on to practice as a General Dentist at Annoor Dental College and Hospital before moving to Australia.

As a dentist, Dr Ashika enjoys restorative work and hopes to specialise as an endodontist in the future. Witnessing the positive impact on their lives and seeing their transformed smiles brings her great joy and satisfaction.

When she’s not practicing, Dr Ashika loves spending time with her family on road trips, treks, and snorkelling adventures.

Dr Sam Guirguis

Primarily practising from Northern Dentistry in Sydney, Dr Sam Guirguis makes the trip down to Narooma every couple of months to lend his talents to our clinic. Dr Guirguis graduated in 1989 from Sydney University with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Driven by his passion and desire to aid others with their dental health, he went on to achieve his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

Primarily practising from Northern Dentistry in Sydney, Dr Sam Guirguis makes the trip down to Narooma every couple of months to lend his talents to our clinic. Dr Guirguis graduated in 1989 from Sydney University with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Driven by his passion and desire to aid others with their dental health, he went on to achieve his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

Dr Guirguis' extensive career has also seen him training and working across the UK, New Zealand and country New South Wales, owning his own practice, teaching undergraduate students as a part-time Clinical Instructor at Sydney University, and training at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) for five years.

Although highly experienced and enjoying all aspects of general dentistry, Dr Guirguis particularly enjoys working in the areas of comprehensive full-mouth rehabilitation, orthodontics (braces & Invisalign®), facial aesthetics (injectables and fillers) and treatment for sleep-disordered breathing, snoring and sleep apnoea.

Dr Guirguis finds his role as a dentist particularly rewarding and enjoys assisting his patients in reaching their outcomes whether through optimal oral health or a cosmetic solution to something they have been challenged with. He additionally finds great joy in interacting with patients and working in a fun environment alongside other dental professionals who share his passion.

Dedicated to his professional development, Dr Guirguis is continually keeping up to date with the latest orthodontic treatment and postgraduate education in dental sleep medicine. His commitment to the field of dentistry has also previously seen him complete post-graduate studies in orthodontics, implants and cosmetic full-mouth rehabilitation - allowing him to achieve recognition as one of only four LVI clinical instructors in Australia.

Outside of dentistry, Dr Guirguis has a passion for travelling with his wife and kids, skiing, golf, tennis, good food and single malt whiskey.

Tammy Harrison

Tammy Harrison is a registered dental hygienist from Mount Gambier, South Australia. With more than 15 years of experience within the dental field, moving through career paths from dental assistant, pratice manager and finally deciding to return to study in order to achieve her advanced diploma in dental hygiene in Adelaide.

Tammy decided on a sea change with the opportunity to work and enjoy the amazing south coast of New South Wales. She has relocated to the area with her teenage son and is enjoying the local musician scene attending jam sessions and open mikes. Her hobbies include travel, playing…
