Dr Stephen Coulson
Dr Coulson graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Dental Science and has since gone on to gain over 25 years' experience. He initially began his dental career working for a large general dental practice in Nerang before relocating his practice to Maven Dental Southport (then Smileplus Dental) in 2009.
With his extensive experience and clinical knowledge Dr Coulson is committed to providing his patients the best in dental care. He also places great focus on interacting well with his patients and building strong relationships. Additionally, he is well regarded for his friendly, down to earth nature and gentle approach to treatment.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Coulson is passionate about golf.
Dr Tahereh Jafari
Dr Tahereh Jafari brings a unique blend of analytical expertise and compassionate care to Maven Dental Southport. After initially training as an industrial engineer, she followed her passion for healthcare and completed her Bachelor of Dental Health Science and Master of Dentistry at Griffith University, earning multiple Academic Excellence awards.
Dr Tahereh enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with particular interests in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, clear aligners, dental implants, and full mouth rehabilitation. She is committed to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalised, evidence-based care.
Outside of dentistry, Tahereh enjoys reading, learning new languages, staying active, exploring new cuisines with her family, and planning future travel adventures.
Dr Tristan Ocampo
Dr Tristan Ocampo is a friendly and experienced dentist who graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine from The University of Sydney in 2015. After meeting his wife at dental school, Tristan moved to Calgary, Canada, where he spent the past decade working in private practice, gaining extensive experience in all aspects of general dentistry.
Passionate about helping patients feel confident in their smiles, Tristan has a special interest in cosmetic treatments, including composite bonding, veneers, and Invisalign.
