Meet The Team

Dr Stephen Ganko received his dental qualifications in 1983 from the University of Queensland. In 1991 Dr Ganko established Maven Dental Stafford Heights (then Life Dental) and has been servicing the dental needs of the Stafford Heights community since. As principal dentist, he is committed to delivering the highest level in dental care and service. While loving all aspects of dentistry, Dr Ganko excels at cosmetic dentistry, creating new and beautiful smiles.

Outside of dentistry, Dr Ganko is actively involved in a number of local and international projects including Rotary, Amnesty International and the Cambodian Centre. When he isn't busy volunteering, he enjoys a number of outdoor hobbies like abseiling, kayaking, hiking and skiing, and spending time with his wife and four daughters.

Dr. Henry Zeng, an accomplished dental professional, graduated with honours from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Dental Science. Originally hailing from Melbourne, he relocated to Brisbane to pursue a career in dentistry. During his time at university, he actively participated in research projects and recently received recognition for his work in the field of dental restoration materials.

Henry has gained extensive experience working in the public sector in Brisbane, where he has provided quality treatment to patients.

Driven by his passion for providing exceptional patient care, Henry believes that effective communication and personalised treatment plans are key to achieving the best possible outcomes. He is committed to ensuring his patients feel comfortable and at ease during their visits. Furthermore, Henry is a strong advocate for prevention and minimal intervention dentistry as a means of improving overall dental health. He keeps himself up-to-date with the latest treatments by regularly reading articles in the field.

Outside of his professional commitments, Henry is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys playing both volleyball and basketball at a high level of competition. In his leisure time, he can be found unwinding with a good book or indulging in his favourite hobby, fishing, with friends at nearby piers.

Dr Edgar Evans completed his Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours at Riga Stradins University in 2017, where he was awarded a scholarship in recognition of his academic excellence. With more than nine years of clinical experience, he has worked in busy dental practices across Latvia, Ireland, and Australia, providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages.

Edgar has developed strong expertise across a wide range of modern dental treatments, including cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, restorative procedures, preventative care, and general family dentistry. He is passionate about helping patients restore their oral health, enhance their smiles, and feel confident about their teeth.

Dedicated to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care, Edgar stays current with the latest dental techniques and technologies to ensure the best possible outcomes. He believes that visiting the dentist should be a positive and comfortable experience, taking the time to listen to each patient’s concerns and explain treatment options clearly so they feel informed and at ease.
