Originally from the United Kingdom, Dr Avind received his dental qualifications from the Leeds Dental School in 2014. Dr Avind has gone on to work across private and public practice as well as emergency care where he has gained thorough clinical experience. Continually striving to deliver his patients with the best in dental care, he remains up to date with the latest in dentistry by attending courses and training.

His clinical interests lie within the surgical side of dentistry, as well as the replacement of missing and damaged teeth with dental implants. Dr Avind believes that the ability to enhance the appearance of a patient’s smile is incredibly rewarding.

Dr Avind has a knack for settling anxious patients in the dental chair and wishes for all patients to have a positive experience while in his care, setting them up to have a good oral health routine for life.

In his spare time, Avind enjoys spending quality time with his beautiful wife and two sons!

Dr Rebecca Bojarovski completed her Bachelor of Dentistry at Griffith University in 2018, achieving awards of academic excellence during her years of study. Since graduating Dr Bec has operated her practice from Maven Dental Tugun as a passionate associate dentist.

Born and bred locally on the Gold Coast, Dr Bec believes in a gentle approach to patient care and prides herself on creating a comfortable, pleasant, and pain-free patient experience.

With a passion for orthodontics, aesthetic and paediatric dentistry, Dr Bec incorporates a meticulous and holistic approach to patient care. As an Invisalign Go provider and clinician with a passion for minimally invasive and digital dentistry, Dr Bec is committed to helping her patients achieve their perfect smile.

Outside of dentistry, you will find Bec enjoying an iced latte at her local cafe or soaking up the sun on the beautiful, southern, Gold Coast beaches!

John has spent the last few years working in a busy dental clinic in Scotland before his move to Australia. The interest and expertise he has built up over this time, particularly in Invisalign, has given patients both their smile and confidence back.

The most rewarding part of the job for John is saving teeth that otherwise may be lost. His skills in all aspects of cosmetic dentistry, including veneers and tooth whitening, allow him to provide a high level of care for each patient that walks through the door. John works closely with the rest of the dental team to give patients a calm and pleasant dental experience.

In his spare time John enjoys keeping fit at the gym. John is also very keen on water sports and wishes to pursue his scuba diving certification.

When not in the gym or in the water, John can nearly always be found listening to music or at a concert, a music nerd at heart!

Katrina Northey is a talented Oral Health Therapist and has recently returned to practice at Maven Dental Tugun after having her baby boy!  Katrina graduated from her Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Queensland in 2013 and has gained thorough experience working within several public and private clinics in both New South Wales and Queensland.

As an Oral Health Therapist, Katrina is dedicated to keeping up with the latest dental technology and therefore completed a Graduate Certificate in Oral Health Science in 2017, allowing her to provide extended care for her adult patients.

Katrina’s philosophy is based on prevention, and she enjoys helping her patients prevent foreseeable dental problems. Katrina is passionate about getting to know each of her patients and has a knack for providing a fun and positive dental experience for children.

Katrina’s exceptional attention to detail allows her to deliver excellent preventative dental care to all of her patients. She takes the time to listen to individual concerns and as a result is better informed to recommend a more suitable, personalised, at home dental care regime that is easy to maintain and simple to follow, yet sophisticated enough to prevent dental diseases.

Katrina is a coffee enthusiast and spends her free time adventuring with her little boy and husband at local parks and beaches.

Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, Jenna Le Roux immigrated to Australia in the early 2000’s. Jenna originally started working within the dental industry nearly 10 years ago as a dental assistant. It was during this time that she gained a love for dentistry while working with her patients and gaining a thorough understanding of all aspects that contribute to optimum patient care. Jenna went on to complete a Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy at the University of Newcastle in 2021.

Bringing a friendly, positive attitude to her practice as an oral health therapist, Jenna enjoys working with her patients (especially families) to make positive change in not only their oral health but also contributing to their overall health and wellness. She is passionate about the assessment and management of periodontal disease and enjoys motivating and educating her patients to improve their oral health care. Jenna says, “Once oral health care is improved it is highly rewarding for myself and the patient to see the improvement.”

Jenna is also passionate about teeth whitening as she believes the smile is a curve that sets everything straight! Feeling comfortable within our smile not only improves a person's confidence but improves quality of life!

Outside of her practice Jenna lives an active lifestyle. She enjoys surfing, skating, road trips with friends and spending time with her Great Dane/Mastiff, Sniper. She’s also a foodie and is always up to try out a new restaurant!

Saba Tahir, your Dental Hygienist at Maven Dental Tugun, brings significant experience and knowledge to the clinic. With a Bachelor of Dental Hygiene and a Master of Health Services Management under her belt, Saba has developed a comprehensive understanding of patient-centred dental care. Her journey in dentistry began with a seven-year tenure as a Dental Assistant, laying a strong foundation for her current expertise.

Her passion for preventative dentistry and non-surgical periodontal therapy is the cornerstone of her practice. She finds great satisfaction in educating and raising awareness about oral healthcare among her patients, believing that prevention is key to long-term dental health. Saba excels in making dental visits informative and reassuring, ensuring everyone leaves with a better understanding of how to care for their oral health.

Beyond the doors of the dental clinic, Saba wears the proud title of a mum to three spirited boys. Her love for culinary adventures leads her to explore various cuisines, and she cherishes peaceful walks on the beach. Family time is paramount to her, and a good cup of coffee is always a welcome treat in her busy life.
