Modern Dentistry welcomed lead dentist Dr Shaun Ng to the team in 2009. Having graduated from Adelaide University with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Dr Ng spent a two years practicing in Newcastle before relocating to Canberra. He embodies a conservative and thorough approach to treatment planning, ensuring he provides his patients with a holistic treatment to help achieve and maintain good oral health.
Making sure he remains confident and competent in all facets of dentistry, Dr Ng regularly seeks mentoring from senior dentists and attends post-graduate workshops. He additionally has a clinical interest in cosmetic dentistry and enjoys working with international patients - Dr Ng speaks Malay and Cantonese.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Shaun Ng has interests in music, food, travelling, health and fitness.
Originally from Scotland, Dr Iain Edwards graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2009 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Shortly after making the move to Canberra Australia in 2013, Dr Edwards joined the talented team at Modern Dentistry. He is always striving to exceed his patients' expectations and ensures he delivers them the best in patient care. Regularly attending continual education courses and training, Dr Edwards incorporates the latest in dental techniques and technology into his day-to-day practice.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Edwards enjoys stand-up comedy, eating and cooking food, and playing tennis to keep fit.
Canberra local Dr Ena Lowe graduated from the University of Sydney in 2002 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. After completing her qualifications Dr Lowe joined the Modern Dentistry practice as an associate dentist where she has been practicing for over 10 years. Enthusiastic about delivering clinical dentistry with optimal care and comfort she is dedicated to building strong relationships with her patients, better understanding their individual needs and concerns. Dr Lowe also speaks Cantonese and helps to remove any language barriers that may exist for some patients.
Away from work, Dr Lowe has a great love of sports and a passion for all things food related.
Canberra local, Michelle Bonney, joined the Modern Dentistry practice as a dental hygienist after completing her studies. Michelle gained her Bachelor of Oral Health in 2010 from the University of Newcastle. She is passionate about preventative care and educating her patients on healthy habits that will assist in achieving lifelong oral health. Michelle is also committed to building strong relationships and takes the time to understand each individual's needs and concerns. While enjoying all aspects of hygiene she is particularly skilled in diagnosing and treating gum disease, and goes above and beyond to ensure patient satisfaction. Michelle is well regarded for her gentle, thorough, friendly approach and places high importance on patient experience.
