Dr Parvinder Lakhman is a passionate and dedicated clinician that joined the team at Kite Street Dental in 2019. Parvinder has over 12 years of experience in the dental industry working in both public and private practice in Australia.

Originally from India, Dr Lakhman graduated from the University of Mumbai before working in her home country for a number of years. She completed her ADC examination in 2009 and has served the Orange community ever since. She loves the small friendly community in Orange and loves being able to create beautiful, pain-free smiles for her patients.

As a dentist, Dr Lakhman loves all aspects of dentistry but is especially passionate about preventative, restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Working with children and young families brings her great joy and helping them maintain good oral health through education. Parvinder also enjoys being challenged with complex oral surgery and endodontic cases.

Parvinder is dedicated to furthering her knowledge and skills as a dentist. She is constantly seeking opportunities to learn new techniques and treatment strategies to ensure her patients are receiving the best possible care.

Away from the practice, you can find Parvinder in the great outdoors, doing community work or spending quality time with her husband and two daughters. Dr Lakhman also loves cooking for her family and friends.

Dr Bashudev Mainali is a passionate and empathetic dentist at Kite Street Dental. With over a decade of experience, Dr Mainali combines a wealth of knowledge with a patient-centred approach to deliver exceptional dental care.

Educational Background and Early Career

Dr Mainali earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of BPKIHS in Nepal in 2014. He began his career in a private practice in Nepal, where he refined his skills and developed a passion for comprehensive dental care.

Transition to Australia

In 2016, Dr Mainali moved to Australia, seeking new professional opportunities. After settling in Sydney, he worked as a dental assistant in multidisciplinary practices focused on integrative dental approaches. His commitment to advancing his expertise led him to achieve Australian Dental Council Certification in 2022. He is now thriving at Kite Street Dental in Orange, New South Wales.

Professional Focus and Philosophy

Dr Mainali is known for his focus on preventative care, minimally invasive techniques, and patient oral health education. His special interests include oral surgery and prosthodontics, areas where he integrates technical skill with a patient-centred approach. At Kite Street Dental, Dr Mainali provides a wide range of services, from general dentistry and aligner treatments (including Invisalign and Spark Aligners) to impacted wisdom teeth removal, root canal treatments, crowns, bridges, veneers, implant restorations, and various splints (including TMJ and mandibular advancement splints for sleep apnoea) and composite bonding.

He excels at making anxious patients feel at ease and emphasises the importance of involving patients in their treatment planning to achieve the best outcomes. His friendly and understanding nature makes him a valuable asset to the Kite Street Dental team.

Personal Life

Outside of work, Dr Mainali is a devoted father to two young boys, six-year-old Subham and one-year-old Samyam. He enjoys spending quality time with his family, socializing with friends, listening to music, playing sports, and cooking. His ability to balance professional dedication with personal interests reflects his commitment to both his patients and his loved ones.

Dr Shilpa Walia has joined the team at Kite Street dental as an experienced, empathetic and affectionate Associate Dentist. Having completed her Bachelors of Dental Surgery from Bfuhs University (India) in 2009, Dr Shilpa continued her passion for studies by pursuing Masters in Endodontics (root canal specialist) in 2014.

She started her career in dentistry working as Root Canal Specialist in a multispecialty hospital for five years. Later, she relocated to Australia and started working towards registration. She got her Australian dental registration certification in 2022. She has since now moved to Orange in regional NSW.

As a child, she always aspired to be a dentist and finally, after fulfilling her dream, she is thrilled to serve the Orange community as a dental practitioner. As a dentist, she is calm, passionate and dedicated, with professional work ethics. She believes the outcome of treatment depends upon the affectionate bond between the patient and clinician. She excels in providing conservative treatment, fillings, scaling, veneers, teeth whitening, root canal treatment, crowns, bridges, etc.

She is a devoted mother and wife who cares for her family and enjoys spending quality time together. She loves cooking for her family, travelling, and exploring nature and wildlife.
