Why Oral Health Matters

Did you know that in many cases, major dental treatments can be prevented through early intervention and proactive oral care?

Early intervention involves identifying and addressing dental issues at an early stage before they progress to the point of needing extensive treatment.

This July Maven Dental Avalon Beach would like to invite you to a free Dental Health Open Day.

Check Your Oral Health Today

Did you know the following health conditions are impacted by your oral health?

  • Diabetes
  • Heart Disease/Stroke
  • Chronic inflammatory medical conditions
  • Sleep apnea/snoring
  • Dementia

Find issues before symptoms appear for:

  • Decay that can lead to tooth loss
  • Grinding that can lead to cracked teeth
  • Gum inflammation that can lead to severe gum disease
  • Teeth crowding that make it difficult for you to maintain good oral hygiene

How does the Trios scanner help?

  • It shows you your current oral health condition and helps in planning your treatment needs
  • It is not an x-ray, therefore there is no radiation
  • see the difference from your crooked teeth to straightened teeth
  • you can preview a simulation of your new smile before you even begin treatment
  • no more messy putty in your mouth to deal with, or discomfort while taking impressions of your teeth

We understand that some people feel anxious about visiting the dentist. At Maven Dental, we work hard to make you feel comfortable and to create environments that feel safe and welcoming. We also believe that communication is key and invite you to share any concerns you may have prior to or upon arrival.

While everyone is different, we’ve created a list of tips that can help to reduce anxiety related to dentist visits – read more

If you need a filling or more complex dental treatment as identified by your Maven dentist, we will discuss this with you. You can discuss your dental treatment plan together. We accept a wide range of payment methods and have flexible pay-later finance options including Afterpay.

It is important to be proactive and build a regular relationship with your dentist or dental hygienist. For a healthy smile and overall good oral health, we recommend booking routine hygiene & check-up visits with a dentist or dental hygienist ideally every 6 months or as advised by your dentist

If you take care of your oral health, you can reduce your chances of getting more complex dental problems. This includes being proactive with a combination of at-home dental care and building a regular relationship with your dentist or dental hygienist.

We recommend daily healthy habits and regular visits to the dentist. For a healthy smile and overall good oral health:

  • Practice good oral hygiene habits at home including brushing your teeth twice a day and flossing once a day
