Meet The Team

Dr Sara Merritt is a New Zealand-qualified dentist who gained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Otago in 2016. Starting her career with Smile Dental, she worked in several clinics throughout the Auckland area, providing a variety of general dental treatments. Originally from Tauranga in the sunny Bay of Plenty, she practiced on the Sunshine Coast for four years before relocating her practice to Maven Dental Brunswick.

Dr Sara appreciates the variety that general dentistry offers and enjoys all aspects of providing dental care for all the family and for all ages. She also enjoys the detail challenges of ceramic restorations and takes every opportunity to keep up to date with technological advancements and techniques.

This is the first time Dr Sara has lived in Melbourne and she is enjoying exploring the city. When not practicing, she loves to play football, surf and spend time with friends and family, plus travel when she can. She’s also a bit of a foodie, so on weekends, you’ll often see her out with friends trying new cafes and restaurants!

Dr Chris Morris graduated with a Bachelor of Dentistry from the University of Sydney in 2011 and later earned a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Implants) from the same institution in 2017. His extensive education reflects his dedication to staying at the forefront of dental advancements and his commitment to providing comprehensive dental care.

Dr Chris began his career working in several clinics along the NSW central coast before settling into a family dental clinic in Western Sydney for nearly a decade. In 2023, he relocated to Melbourne to support his wife’s career in education, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a passion for patient care.

In his practice, Dr Chris offers a wide range of dental services, including root canal treatments, wisdom tooth removal surgery, and aesthetic restorations. However, his special interests lie in implant dentistry and orthodontic treatments. He has pursued extensive further education in these fields to provide the best possible outcomes for his patients.

What Dr Chris finds most rewarding about his job is the ability to help people resolve their dental issues and maintain their oral health. His patient-centred approach ensures that each individual receives personalised care tailored to their unique needs.

Outside of the clinic, Dr Chris enjoys taking his young family on adventures and exploring the greater Melbourne area. When not out and about, he can often be found experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, delighting his family with his culinary creations.

Farah Saleem has worked in the dental industry in Australia since 2016, before completing her Dental Hygiene from TAFE SA as a decorated achiever. Since then, she has worked as a Dental Hygienist in various clinics.  

As a Hygienist, Farah’s approach is to ensure each patient’s treatment is comprehensive, thanks to her flair for attention to detail. Her bubbly yet gentle approach to treatment helps ensure every patient's dental treatment is a positive experience. She goes the extra mile to understand her patients' needs to best safeguard their oral health into the future.

Farah has a particular interest in:

• the prevention and treatment of gum diseases; and
• helping patients achieve good oral hygiene through healthy behaviours.

Outside of work she enjoys, Farah enjoys cooking, travelling to scenic parts of the world, and spending time with her family.
