Dr Aurora Cao is currently on maternity leave.

Dr Aurora (Yang) Cao is a talented young dentist that enjoys seeing her patients leave the practice with beautiful smiles. Dr Cao is always up for a chat and loves dentistry so much that she’ll sometimes start singing while you’re in the chair.

After first completing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Anatomy in 2013, Dr Cao graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2017 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery. She relocated to Tasmania the same year and began working in a small one-chair clinic in Deloraine.  After working in various different public and private clinics she has chosen to build her dental practice in Launceston to continue creating beautiful smiles for her patients.

Every smile is different and Dr Cao enjoys developing tailored treatment plans for all her patients. She loves being challenged as a dentist and seeing the positive changes to her patients after treatments. She is particularly interested in crowns and dentures as it combines aesthetic and technical skill to create a natural, long-lasting smile for the patient. She also loves dental technology and likes to keep up to date with the very latest trends in the industry.

Away from the practice, Dr Cao likes to keep fit and centred by practising yoga and is a keen alpine skier (she’s even a licensed instructor if you need some lessons!). Aurora also likes to relax after work by playing her ukulele.

Dr Biju Mahadev graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Mysore, India in 1997. After his initial studies, he interned J.S.S Dental College and worked within private dental practice in India. It was during this time that he found his passion for Orthodontics and went on to complete a Master of Dental Surgery at The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, India in 2004.

Over the course of his career, Dr Biju has gained extensive experience lecturing orthodontics, conducting valuable research, and working as an orthodontist and senior general practitioner at the Ministry of Health. He has also spent some time working at the Cleft lip and Palate unit at M.O.H. in Kuwait. He now brings his broad skill set and friendly smile to the team at Maven Dental Invermay.

Experienced across a wide range of dental services, Dr Biju enjoys putting a smile on his patients’ faces whether it be providing routine general dentistry or more complex treatments such as Invisalign.

Outside of his practice, Dr Biju loves spending time with his family, playing tennis and badminton, reading, and going on long drives. He also has a keen eye for photography.

Dr Rebecca Kuncoro will be practising at Maven Dental Invermay from February 2024.

Dr Rebecca Kuncoro is a kind and gentle dentist who is passionate about seeing positive change in her patient’s oral health. She brings over 10 years of dental experience to her patients.

Having been drawn to dentistry from a young age, Dr Rebecca pursued her dream after graduating with a Bachelor of Dentistry from Gadjah Mada University in Indonesia in 2011 and completed her clinical studies in 2013. After her initial studies, she worked as a general dentist for five years where she gained extensive experience within the dental industry performing many procedures including fillings, root canals, crowns and extractions. It was during this time that Dr Rebecca found a keen interest in root canal treatment and decided to further her knowledge. She returned to university where she completed specialist Endodontic training and graduated in 2018. She then made the move to Australia and spent her time completing her studies to obtain her Australian Dental Council Certificate.

Dr Rebecca takes a very empathetic approach with her patients. Her aim is to ensure that all patients feel comfortable during their dental appointment. She is interested in all aspects of general dentistry and loves that she can use her skill set to help people achieve their dream smile. Dr Rebecca places a heavy focus on patient oral education as she believes prevention is better than cure.

When she’s not practising, you’ll find Dr Rebecca spending quality time with her friends, family and pet dog. She’s artistic and loves painting and drawing!

Manisha Thapa Magar is a passionate and caring Oral Health Therapist who is committed to ensuring her patients have a great experience in the dental chair.

Manisha Thapa Magar was born in Nepal however, her family migrated to Singapore when she was three years old. She began her dental career in 2019, while studying a Diploma of Oral Health Therapy at Nanyang Polytechnic in Singapore. Soon after, Manisha moved to Sydney to study a Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Sydney, in which she graduated 2022.

Throughout her studies, Manisha immersed herself into the world of dentistry working as a dental assistant within private practice. It was during this time she was able to expand her skill set and clinical knowledge while finding her true passion for preventative periodontal health management and patient oral health education.

Now living in Invermay, Manisha loves the slow-paced lifestyle Tasmania offers! In the clinic, she is known for her calm and caring nature and takes great pride in ensuring her patients feel comfortable throughout their appointment, especially those who suffer from dental anxiety.

Outside of dentistry, Manisha spends her spare time going to the gym, relaxing at home and going for walks!
