Meet The Team

Dr Gerard Meyer has more than 25 years’ experience in the dental industry. After graduating from the prestigious University of Stellenbosch in South Africa, Dr Meyer established successful practices in both the United Kingdom and South Africa. Gerard began operating his practice from Maven Dental Port Lincoln in 2015.

Dr Meyer’s philosophy regarding dentistry is to make every patient’s visit educational and as positive as possible. Gerard is very experienced at helping nervous patients and believes in creating a comfortable environment so his patients are at ease when they visit.

Dr Meyer is passionate about all things dentistry but has a keen interest in endodontics and cosmetic dentistry. Even with his experience, he knows that there are always areas he can improve. He regularly attends courses and conferences across the country to further his knowledge and skills to continue providing high-quality treatments for his patients.

Away from his practice, Gerard loves spending time with his wife and three children. You can also find him keeping fit by cycling and paddle boarding, or in the great outdoors camping with his family. He also loves good food, good wine, and good company!

Dr Dominique originally completed a Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours and went on to complete her Bachelor of Dentistry. Having worked in the field of dentistry in Sydney for over 27 years in areas including dental assisting, practice management and as a dentist for over 13 years, Dr Dominique is a highly skilled dentist with extensive knowledge and technical expertise in all aspects of general dentistry. Dedicated to expanding her knowledge and keeping up to date with the latest innovations in dental practice, she actively participates in continuous education, seminars and conferences around the world.

Passionate about all aspects of dentistry, Dr Dominique is particularly interested in the latest digital smile design, cosmetic dentistry, and cosmetic orthodontic treatment. She utilises all aspects of these treatments to create unique beautiful functional smiles. Additionally, Dr Dominique loves prosthodontic and paediatric dentistry, and she is driven to provide the highest possible standards of dental health care.

Dr Dominique takes great pride in educating her patients on the importance of oral health and seeing their self-confidence improve through dentistry. She has a knack for helping anxious, dental-phobic patients feel comfortable while receiving dental treatment and enjoys developing trusting relationships that enable patients to overcome anxiety.

Outside of her practice, Dr Dominique is passionate about the ocean, surfing, snowboarding, physical fitness and scuba diving. She enjoys all outdoor activities and loves winding down with a good book and a glass of wine.
