Dr Carlos Nakhla is the Principal Dentist at Maven Dental Punchbowl and an Arabic-speaking clinician known for his calm, approachable nature and commitment to excellence. With a strong foundation in both cosmetic and surgical dentistry, Dr Carlos offers a wide range of treatments including Invisalign, smile makeovers, surgical removal of wisdom teeth, and children’s dentistry.

Before dentistry, Dr Carlos began his professional journey as a personal trainer, driven by a deep interest in health and wellness. His passion for helping others led him to dentistry, where he has since gained experience across both metro and rural settings — including a significant placement in Far North Queensland, delivering essential dental care to remote communities.

Carlos is detail-oriented and values creating a positive experience for every patient — whether it’s restoring confidence with cosmetic work or relieving discomfort through oral surgery. Outside of the clinic, he keeps active with Muay Thai, the gym, and soccer, and enjoys travel and volunteering with dental outreach projects. His goal is to continue advancing his expertise in cosmetic and surgical procedures while making a lasting impact in communities with limited access to dental care.

Dr Mayu Lingathas brings a fresh and dynamic approach to Maven Dental Punchbowl. He graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science from Charles Sturt University.

Passionate about the transformative power of dentistry, Dr Mayu has a keen interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, as well as oral surgery. His dedication to enhancing patients' confidence through a healthier and brighter smile drives his daily practice. He enjoys the diagnostic and procedural aspects of dentistry, and values building long-term relationships with his patients, witnessing the positive impact of his work over time.

Dr Mayu values the significance of a collaborative approach to dental care, striving to make a meaningful impact on his patients' lives. Committed to professional development, he regularly attends dental conferences, workshops, and continuing education courses to stay updated with the latest advancements in dentistry.

Outside of the clinic, Dr Mayu maintains a well-rounded lifestyle. He enjoys playing tennis and golf, going to the gym, and is an avid NBA fan. Dr Mayu also loves travelling and exploring new cultures. 

Dr Leydivi Gonzalez G. is a dedicated and compassionate dentist committed to enhancing the oral health and overall well-being of her patients. With a bachelor’s degree in dentistry, awarded with Honors from UNICOC University in Bogota, Colombia, Dr Leydivi brings a strong foundation of knowledge and expertise to Maven Dental Punchbowl.

Passionate about improving oral health within the community, Dr Leydivi provides accessible and high-quality dental care while emphasizing the importance of preventive measures. Her patient-centred approach focuses on building trusting relationships and empowering individuals to achieve and maintain optimal oral hygiene.

With a keen interest in restorative dentistry, Dr Leydivi excels in restoring smiles through conservative and comprehensive treatments. She prioritises patient comfort and utilises the latest techniques to deliver exceptional results. Dr Leydivi is committed to ongoing professional development, regularly attending continuing education courses to stay at the forefront of dental advancements.

Beyond her professional life, Dr Leydivi and her husband enjoy exploring new places; she loves dancing and practising Pilates. Her vibrant personality and dedication to her patients make her a valued member of the dental community.
