Dr Hunida Elfallah brings a wealth of expertise and warmth for patients at Maven Dental Punchbowl. With a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, a distinguished PhD from the University of Sydney, and over a decade of experience in dental practice, Dr Hunida stands as a beacon of excellence in the field.

Her dedication to fostering meaningful connections with her patients is unparalleled. Whether administering gentle scale and cleans, fillings, root canal treatment (RCT), or simple extractions, Dr Hunida remains committed to providing exceptional, relaxing care to her patients.

Beyond her professional endeavours, Dr Hunida's life is a harmonious blend of nurturing her patients and her family. Outside of her practice, Dr Hunida is a busy mom and likes to keep active. She does mixed cardio exercises to stay healthy, reads Arabic books, and enjoys peaceful walks. She loves her job and her life, and everyone around her can feel her positive energy.

Dr Alexander Terry Starvoullakis has a global background and diverse experience in dentistry, bringing a unique approach to patient care. Dr Terry offers a blend of scientific rigour and compassionate care to his practice, making your dental experience both comfortable and comprehensive.

Dr Terry holds an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo (2011), a Master of Science from the University of Toronto (2018), and, most recently, a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Sydney (2023). His time between degrees was marked by significant contributions to dental research, specifically in Dental Material Science and Cell Biology, where he contributed to numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Born in Greece and raised in Canada, before making Australia his home, Dr Terry's international experiences have shaped his worldview and approach to dentistry. Growing up, Dr Terry was witness to the profound impact his mother's compassionate dental care had on patients' lives, and as such, was inspired to follow in her footsteps.

In the clinic, Dr Terry's interests are broad, with a keen focus on restorative dentistry, root canal therapy, and preventative care. Always eager to stay on top of the latest advancements, he plans to undergo additional training in clear aligners and cosmetic dentistry, allowing him to provide his patients with a wide array of treatment options. Dr Terry's passion lies not only in the technical aspects of dentistry but in the relationships he builds, ensuring he provides a comfortable and personalised experience for each patient.

Beyond dentistry, Dr Terry leads an active and culturally rich life. He enjoys playing basketball, practising yoga and martial arts, and engaging in Tango lessons with his wife. Alongside his fluency in both English and Greek, his love for languages sees him currently embracing the challenge of learning Mandarin.

Dr Kevin Yip, a highly accomplished dental professional, received his undergraduate and postgraduate training in the UK. During his studies, he garnered numerous accolades, including the prestigious first prize in a national clinical competition (Dentsply/BDA Student Clinician Programme). Initially qualifying as a general dentist, Kevin obtained accreditation across a broad spectrum of clinical disciplines, earning recognition from both the Royal Colleges of the UK and Australia.

Currently, Dr Yip practices dentistry in the private sector, specialising in general and restorative dentistry while also holding the title of registered specialist prosthodontist in Australia. With a proven track record in both private practice and academia, Kevin is renowned for his competence and proficiency in dentistry. He is particularly noted for his exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering a compassionate rapport with patients.

Kevin maintains unwavering work ethics, continuously pursuing professional development through ongoing education. Fluent in English, Mandarin/Putonghua, and a native Cantonese speaker, he ensures effective communication with a diverse range of patients.

In addition to his professional endeavours, Kevin actively engages in volunteer work, contributing to oral health talks in local Sydney and Melbourne organisations, as well as participating in initiatives such as wheelchair assembly for individuals with disabilities in rural China and Food Ministry projects in Sydney.

Outside of his professional and volunteer commitments, Kevin enjoys staying active through exercise, swimming, and exploring new destinations through travel.
