Meet The Team

Dr Anton Esterhuysen joined the Maven Dental Yokine team as a dynamic and innovative dentist. Anton graduated from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, in 1993 with a dental degree. Prior to working at Maven Dental Yokine, Anton spent 16 years working in a successful private practice in South Africa and 3 years at the prestigious Smile Company in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Experienced in all areas of general dentistry, Dr Anton Esterhuysen has developed a special interest in oral surgery, aesthetics and dental implants. Ensuring he remains up to date with the latest dental techniques, procedures and equipment in his field, Anton regularly attends further education courses. With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Anton is committed to providing his patients with a high standard of dental care ensuring lifelong oral health.

When he isn't tending to his patients, Anton enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids.

Bede van Schaijik is an Associate Dentist practicing from Maven Dental Yokine. Bede was born and raised in New Zealand, and moved to Western Australia to pursue dentistry.

During his studies, he was a recipient of the Pierre Fauchard Academy Foundation scholarship and awarded the Harold Baggett Prize in Histology and the Alistair Devlin ANZSPD Prize in Paediatric Dentistry. He has a Bachelor of Technology (Hons) (Auckland) and a Doctor of Dental Medicine (UWA).

With a background in biotechnology and cancer research, Bede has a highly scientific mind, and enjoys staying up to date with the latest dental research and technology. He particularly enjoys paediatric dentistry and oral surgery, and has a passion for cosmetic treatments to help patients achieve their perfect smile.

Bede is a caring clinician, passionate about providing the best care for his patients. He is greatly fulfilled helping nervous patients through their dental journey and seeing the results of his work when they smile.

Bede married his beautiful wife in 2021, and together they enjoy an active lifestyle with long walks in King's Park and experiencing the Perth coffee scene. Bede is also a musician, having played the French Horn in various orchestras around New Zealand and Perth. Bede also has a passion for volunteering, providing services to remote communities in the Kimberley and the patients at St Pats Community Centre.

With experience in both Australia and the UK, Dr Mo brings academic excellence, research expertise, and a friendly approach to orthodontic care for children, teens, and adults alike.

Dr Rosemary Han is a graduate of the University of Otago and has worked across both private and public dental settings in New Zealand and Australia, gaining broad experience in urban and regional communities. Originally from Aotearoa, New Zealand, she is a dedicated and compassionate dentist who strives to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

Dr Han enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with particular interests in restorative treatments and minor oral surgery. She is passionate about helping patients feel confident in their smiles and believes in empowering individuals to take an active role in their oral health journey.

Outside the clinic, you will often find Rosemary trying out new restaurants with friends, diving into a good book, hiking or painting. She also loves exploring Australia’s diverse states, cities and towns, and of course its vibrant food and lifestyle scene.

Before settling in Australia, Dr Han trained with the New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and was actively involved with the New Zealand Dental Association, including the Auckland Dental Association and the Young Dentists Action Group.

Dr Presanna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry and has gained clinical experience in both India and Australia. He completed an internship at a dental hospital in India, followed by a focused placement with a Prosthodontist, where he developed strong skills in treatment planning, restorative care, and prosthetic dentistry. He later worked independently in private practice before relocating to Australia, where he has contributed to busy, multi-chair clinics.

Known for his friendly, patient-focused approach, Dr Presanna enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with particular interests in preventive care, long-term maintenance, and conservative restoration of natural teeth. He takes pride in creating a calm, stress-free environment and finds special reward in working with children to build healthy habits and confidence from an early age.

Outside of dentistry, he maintains a balanced and active lifestyle, enjoying cycling, beach walks, exploring cuisines, movies, and engaging activities such as escape rooms and VR games. He also enjoys indoor games like chess, table tennis, and carroms, as well as outdoor sports including cricket and badminton.

Lee Wilson was welcomed to the Maven Dental Yokine team as a dental hygienist in July 2013. Originally beginning her dental career as a dental assistant Lee completed her Diploma for Dental Assisting from Natal Technikon in 1981. Following her passion for the industry she went on to complete her Diploma of Oral Hygiene in 1987 at the University of the Witwatersrand - receiving the Oral B Award for Most Outstanding Student.

After receiving her qualifications, she went on to work for an orthodontist, periodontist and prosthodontist before moving to Australia in 2013 and joining the Yokine practice. In her current role she enjoys building positive relationships with patients and assisting them in improving their oral health.

In her spare time, Lee loves spending time with friends and family, eating out and enjoying what Perth has to offer.

Holly graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health Science from The University of Manchester in 2024. Her career in dentistry started in an office where she provided insurance to dental hygienists and therapists in the UK. This opened Holly’s eyes to dentistry behind the scenes but more importantly it provided unique perspective on the impact of oral health education in improving patient care. She wanted to have a bigger impact on people’s lives so sought the transition from office to dental surgery and never looked back.

Holly’s clinical interests include a strong focus on preventative patient care: through education and clinical intervention. She is enthusiastic about emerging, innovative approaches to treating gum disease. Holly plans to participate in Dental Public Health research in future with the University of Western Australia, either the goal of having a siding impact of patient care outcomes in the wider community.

Holly loves that her role allows her to build strong relationships with her patients over the course of their treatment. Witnessing patients confidence increase visit after visit provides her with true job satisfaction.

Holly moved from Manchester, England with her partner in November 2024. She has travelled to many different countries and loves to experience different cultures. She has a keen interest in cooking and love reading recipe books! 

Outside of work Holly loves playing racket sports: in particular, paddle, Badminton and tennis. Moving to Western Australia has fuelled her love for the outdoors so she tends to spend most of her time there. Her evenings consist of walking by the beach and catching the sunsets with a good old cup of British tea! You can’t beat it!
