Dr Karla Scutt is a highly experienced and empathetic dentist at Maven Dental Burleigh, renowned for her gentle and preventive approach to dental care. She embarked on her dental career after graduating with honours from the University of Sydney. With a broad spectrum of experience, Dr Karla has served in various capacities, including working in private practices across Australia and the UK, in government roles in NSW and Victoria, and with the Australian Defence Force in Canberra.

After moving to the Gold Coast, Dr Karla owned and ran her own successful dental practice for 14 years. This venture not only honed her dental skills but also enriched her managerial and patient care abilities.

Dr Karla enjoys helping nervous patients feel comfortable, making dental visits less daunting for people of all ages. She believes in prioritising patient comfort and adopts a calming and preventive methodology in her treatments. Her areas of interest are diverse, including a focus on airways and sleep apnoea, and implant restoration, showing her commitment to addressing both common and complex dental issues.
