As an avid swimmer, Dr Errol Kilov joined the Lemming Lapstars team to complete 2,822 laps over the 24 hour period (averaging 117 laps per hour). The team’s efforts both in and out of the water saw the Lemming Lapstars take home the title of Overall Winning Team. Having swum over 70.5kms and raising over $8,400, the team’s determination to give it their all had certainly paid off.
Errol’s fundraising efforts also saw him take out the award for Highest Individual Fundraiser. Through the help of his generous supporters, he raised an incredible $4,400; all of which will go on to support the MS Go for Gold Scholarships, Financial Assistance Programs and services provided to those living with multiple sclerosis.
In addition, Errol has been invited to speak on behalf of the Lemming Lapstars, sharing his inspiration and motivation in entering the MS Mega Swim, at the MS Go for Gold presentation lunch, held in Hobart on September 8.
