  • Keeping you safe during COVID-19

Due to the COVID-19 Government response, our Clinical Advisory Board are closely monitoring every state and territory and responding accordingly to ensure the safety of our patients, staff and local communities. Whilst this has been a difficult time for everyone, we hope that you have been staying safe during these uncertain times.

WHAT EXTRA PRECAUTIONS ARE WE TAKING?

Triage

Before attending the practice, the triage process will include:

  • Answering a series of questions to ensure the treatment process is customised to your needs

Prevent the Spread

We are working to prevent the spread in the following ways:

  • Taking your temperature with contactless thermometers upon arrival
  • Hand sanitiser will be available to patients throughout your visit, particularly before and after your appointment
  • Reading material such as magazines have been removed from waiting areas

You may notice our waiting areas will look a little different as a result, rest assured we are taking your safety seriously.

Social distancing

Current social distancing restrictions mean that we may ask you to:

  • Attend your appointment alone where possible
  • Wait in your car or somewhere safe until one of our friendly team members advise it is safe to attend your appointment in the practice unless the reception area has been adapted for social distancing as per the Government guidelines

We have also decreased the number of patients we see each day to ensure minimal contact at all times.

Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

We've added additional PPE required for COVID-19 and depending on the nature of your treatment, you’ll notice our clinical teams wearing appropriate PPE that includes:

  • Clinical Clothing – Scrubs
  • Impervious Disposable Gowns – in some cases
  • Gloves
  • Appropriate masks fit for purpose
  • Headcover and face shields - if required

Our teams also follow strict processes when they prepare to see a patient for reduced services which include applying PPE away from the treatment area, ensuring single-use only and following disposal guidelines.

FAQS

At Maven Dental, our dental practices have always focussed on providing a safe environment for care. We have always followed strict infection control guidelines to prevent the spread of infection, even before COVID-19. Healthcare facilities with standard precautions are the most safe places to attend due to the infection control standards that have already been highly regulated in the past. Despite this, we continue to take extra precautions and be guided by specialist infection control guidelines developed by various associations in Australia and around the world.

As we re-open our practices across Australia, we recommend you find a practice near you that is open. Please call the practice to make an appointment, at this level of restrictions please note that it is not advisable to attend the practice in person to simply make an appointment as the access to the practice is monitored to ensure that we are following social distancing regulations.

Yes, you absolutely can! All payment options will continue to take place as per usual at the practice. Find a practice near you for more information on payment options and preferred health fund provider information.  To ensure we keep you safe, we even have a system to disinfect payment terminals.

We are re-opening practices gradually across Australia. Whilst practices may not re-open straight away, we will only be doing so following a risk assessment and team training to ensure your safety. Find your nearest practice or contact our Maven Dental Call Centre on 1800 162 836 in the case of an emergency.

If you had an appointment with us while practices are closed, you don't need to call us to cancel it. We will be in touch with you when practices re-open to reschedule.

Unfortunately, dentistry is still operating under reduced services. Whilst not all dental procedures will be available at your chosen practice, we will continue to provide dental care using the restricted guidelines as directed by the Australian Government. All our clinical teams have been trained to understand these restriction levels and to provide only the care that has been outlined by the Government mandate.

Your dentist or orthodontist will recommend a treatment option best suited to you and give you an estimate of the price and payment options during your appointment. We accept a wide range of payment methods and have plenty of flexible pay later finance options including Afterpay and 18 months Interest-Free*
